Well, as originally stated, I imagined that I'd have a lot of time on my hands this summer, which I'd dedicate to painting, photography etc - but it turns out that I'm busier and happier than I've ever been in my entire life.

After being diagnosed with cancer in January, then 6 months of chemotherapy and finally getting the glorious 'all-clear' in June, I've aquired a somewhat voracious appetite for life, as one may expect. It's a crying shame that so many people take life for granted until they are faced with the imminent possibility of losing it - I was no exception. Live your lives to the full: you never know what is waiting around the corner for you!

Anyway, I'm soon going to Sardinia, so many an opportunity for photography there! Later on this year there's another trip planned to either Vienna or Rome for my birthday (boyfriend and I still to decide between the two) so I can get snap-happy once again.
